Poetry Perfume - Blue Violin
"And there will be violins playing softly in the background, won't there?"
High on the sensuous list of 'things romantic' is the sound of a violin playing softly in the background. Blue Violin is for romantics....and Romance. Its strongest hit is of a pure Ruh Khus, often known as Vetiver, widely known for its aphrodisiac effects imparting a smoky, earthy, woody note. Immersed in a base of lusty Chocolate Cocoa, a hint of Bulgarian Rose Otto appears briefly to open the heart. Sniff again and you may detect the tiniest bit of high-frequency Blue Spruce to increase stamina, energy, and libido, giving Blue Violin its name.
Smoky, Rich. Earthy, and born in time for Valentine's Day.
The poetry was discovered many, many years ago in the home of my recently married sister. A black frame held a love poem handwritten in her beautiful cursive slant. I don't remember the poem in its entirety, yet the final verse played over and over in my heart, with words so endearing I thought they should be forever captured in the scent of Blue Violin:
"and there will be violins playing softly in the background, won't there?"
To this day the words of the violin play repeatedly in my brain. 'Ah, this is what it must feel like, to be in love.' For many years I thought my sister had written the poem, and somewhere in my mind, I believe that to still be true. Although I can not locate its original author, the hum of the words will continue to vibrate in Blue Violin.
